Analyze, understand, and document the architecture and functionality of legacy Java applications.
Design and implement strategies to migrate legacy systems to modern Java-based architectures.
Refactor existing code to improve performance, maintainability, and scalability while preserving functionality.
Develop and maintain integration solutions between internal and external systems using Java and related technologies.
Write and maintain comprehensive unit, integration, and regression tests to ensure system reliability post-migration.
Collaborate closely with business analysts, architects, QA, and DevOps teams to ensure successful delivery.
Utilize best practices for coding standards, code reviews, and documentation.
Troubleshoot and resolve complex technical issues across environments.
Mentor junior developers and promote knowledge sharing within the team.

3–5 years of professional experience in Java (preferably Java 8 and above).
Strong understanding of object-oriented programming and design patterns.
Hands-on experience with legacy Java frameworks (e.g., Struts, Spring MVC, Hibernate) and transitioning to modern stacks (e.g., Spring Boot, Spring Data).
Experience with refactoring large monolithic applications to microservices is a plus.
Proven expertise in writing unit tests and integration tests using JUnit, TestNG, Mockito, etc.
Strong knowledge of RESTful APIs, SOAP services, and integration patterns.
Experience with relational databases (Oracle, MySQL, PostgreSQL).
Familiarity with CI/CD pipelines and version control (Git).
Knowledge of messaging systems (e.g., JMS, Kafka) is a plus.
Good problem-solving skills and the ability to work independently or in a team environment.
